Danielle Christifano, PhD

Dr. Danielle Christifano is a research assistant professor in the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her research focuses on the intersection of nutrition and lifestyle in maternal and child health. Specifically, she is interested in how metabolism and diet impact autonomic nervous system function of both the mother and the fetus throughout gestation. Her future research goals include the design and implementation of interventions to alleviate the burden of metabolic stress and obesity on the health and wellbeing of future generations
