Daniel Forsha

Daniel Forsha, MD, MHS, FASE

As a faculty member of the Heart Center at Children’s Mercy Kansas City, Dr. Daniel Forsha focuses on clinical non-invasive imaging (Echocardiogram and cardiac MRI/CT) and imaging research. One area of research is the evaluation of dyssynchronous and discoordinated ventricular contraction patterns using strain echochardiography to determine whether certain children may benefit from cardiac resynchronization therapy. Another research interest is using strain echo and other tools to assess the reversibility of early obesity-related cardiovascular disease in populations of teenagers with intellectual delays. He is excited to work as part of the CCHLN to improve our understanding of the cardiovascular health consequences of obesity and how improving lifestyle may reverse this disease process.
