Dr. Colin McCoin is a Research Assistant Professor at KU Medical Center in the Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology. His research interests center around investigating the impact of obesity on mitochondrial quality and function and how various treatment modalities, including exercise and standard pharmacological therapeutics, impact these outcomes. He is particularly interested in the sex-dependence of mitochondrial energetics and mitophagy.
