Dr. Carli Zegers is a faculty member at the University of Kansas School of Nursing, and a nurse practitioner in the Emergency Department at Truman Medical Center. Her research focuses on health literacy and communication strategies with an emphasis on diverse populations. Recently, she focused on developing a pipeline program for high school students from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds into healthcare professions. Combining her work, she is interested in developing pipeline programs with an emphasis on student health literacy.
