Dr. Benjamin Kugler is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Kansas Medical Center in the Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology. His research interest is centered around the consequence of obesity on mitochondrial quality and function and how exercise impacts these outcomes. He is particularly interested in understanding the role of mitochondrial dynamics in the development of obesity-related metabolic diseases.
