Dr. Ben Allen is a faculty member in the Brain, Behavior, and Quantitative Program in the Department of Psychology at the University of Kansas. He is interested in machine learning models for obesity, health disparities, and generally how the environment impacts health. Specifically, he uses explainable artificial intelligence to open up the black box of machine learning models to reveal new insights about the factors contributing to obesity.
